Types Of Skateboards

Shortboard
Shortboard are the shortest style boards. They are designed and shaped for getting air and performing tricks. If you’re leaning towards street or park skating this is the type of board you want. These are the usual boards you see people have. They’re the oval shape.

Cruiser
Cruiser boards often have kicktails. They’re simply designed for simply cruising around. The decks are typically mid-length. Cruisers are versatile and manuverable, making them good for cruising the streets.

Old School
Old school boards are typically flat nosed with a kicktail. They are usually aasymmetrical with a wider nose. They’re awesome for skating pools, ramps, and carving the streets.

Longboard
If you’re not interested in doing tricks and simply want a skateboard for transportation, longboards are the way to go. Longboards are specifically designed for downhill racing. They tend to have a symmetrical shape, sit lower to the ground, and have cut out wheels.
